Christmas Book Haul

Books I got for Christmas (and plan to [hopefully] read this year)!

• Ender's Game series by Orson Scott Card

• Shutter Island by Dennis Lehane

• The Left-Handed Booksellers of London by Garth Nix

• Everyone in My Family Has Killed Someone by Benjamin Stevenson

• Somewhere Beyond the Sea by TJ Klune

• The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle

Ender's Game is a sci-fi series, which is something I don't normally read, though I have enjoyed some sci-fi before. Shutter Island is a psychological thriller with a popular movie adaption with Leonardo DiCaprio. Although I have not really delved into this genre before, I am excited to read this "classic." The Left-Handed Booksellers of London and Somewhere Beyond the Sea are both fantasies. I haven't been reading many fantasies lately, and have since started The Left-Handed Booksellers of London. I previously read the prequel to Somewhere Beyond the Sea, The House in the Cerulean Sea, for a school book club. I am excited to revisit the world and characters. On the other hand, Everyone in My Family Has Killed Someone and Sherlock Holmes are both murder mysteries, which is a genre I have been recently enjoying. Sherlock Holmes, being a classic in the genre, is a particularly exciting read for me.

Overall, I am very excited for my 2026 reading!
