Prompt #27 "Sunlight Awaits"

Write a short piece, starting with the word "sunlight," ending with the word "awaits," and including in the body of your writing the following words:

Fridge Magnet

Awaits

Sunlight streams through the kitchen window, reflecting off of the singular fridge magnet that proves that the immaculate room isn't just for show. My real estate agent walks in, a venerable woman I've known for years.

"Oh!" she says. "It seems they've missed something." She pulls the magnet off of the fridge and drops it in a drawer. "I'll let the other agent know"

The magnet didn't bother me. I thought it added an artistic flair to the otherwise monochrome room. I imagine the fridge covered in more magnets, a colorful explosion surrounding children's artwork and report cards. A house is meant to be loved. This house is meant to be loved. Why not by me?

I call my real estate agent the next day, and after brief negotiations, the house is mine. I put my first magnet on the fridge door, leaving room for future adventures and excitements. Who knows what awaits?
